Ingredients:
- 6 (6 oz) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 6 slices (approx. 4 oz) Swiss cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 6 oz boxed stuffing mix
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your 9x13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Lay the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the dish.
- Place one slice of Swiss cheese over each breast, pressing gently so it adheres to the meat.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, and pepper until completely smooth.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the cheese-covered chicken, ensuring every inch of the meat is coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix with the melted butter, stirring until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
- Sprinkle the stuffing over the sauce, pressing down lightly to create a uniform layer.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until the sauce is bubbling around the edges and the stuffing is mahogany-gold.
