Ingredients:

  • 6 (6 oz) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices (approx. 4 oz) Swiss cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 6 oz boxed stuffing mix
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your 9x13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Lay the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the dish.
  3. Place one slice of Swiss cheese over each breast, pressing gently so it adheres to the meat.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, and pepper until completely smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce evenly over the cheese-covered chicken, ensuring every inch of the meat is coated.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix with the melted butter, stirring until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
  7. Sprinkle the stuffing over the sauce, pressing down lightly to create a uniform layer.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes until the sauce is bubbling around the edges and the stuffing is mahogany-gold.
