Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated white sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) water

Instructions:

  1. Combine the granulated sugar and water in a small saucepan and turn the heat to medium.
  2. Stir the mixture gently until the liquid turns crystal clear and no visible sugar grains remain on the bottom of the pan, then remove from heat immediately.
  3. Allow the syrup to sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes to cool, then pour the liquid into a glass storage jar.
