Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated white sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) water
Instructions:
- Combine the granulated sugar and water in a small saucepan and turn the heat to medium.
- Stir the mixture gently until the liquid turns crystal clear and no visible sugar grains remain on the bottom of the pan, then remove from heat immediately.
- Allow the syrup to sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes to cool, then pour the liquid into a glass storage jar.
