Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season evenly with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet or heavy-bottomed stainless steel pan over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Arrange chicken in the pan without overcrowding; sear for 3–4 minutes per side until a deep golden-brown crust forms. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium. Melt the butter in the same pan, and once foaming, add the minced garlic. Sauté for 60–90 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Whisk constantly for 2–3 minutes until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glossy, syrupy consistency.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet and toss rapidly for 1–2 minutes until every piece is coated in the glaze. Remove from heat immediately.
