Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp (25g) light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp (0.5g) kosher salt
- 1/3 cup (42g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (30g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the flour reaches 160°F (71°C). Let it cool for 1 minute.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir vigorously with a fork until the mixture is smooth and the butter is fully integrated.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Gradually add the heat-treated flour, stirring until a cohesive, velvety dough forms and no dry streaks remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chips using a spoon until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
