Ingredients:
- 3 medium Medjool dates, pitted (approx. 60g)
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp (16g) almond butter
- 2 tbsp (12g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) sea salt
- 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch (0.1g) cinnamon
Instructions:
- Place the pitted dates, almond butter, and almond milk into a high-speed blender. Process on high for 45-60 seconds until the dates are completely emulsified and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, sea salt, and vanilla extract to the blender. Pulse 3-4 times until just incorporated to avoid over-aerating the drink.
- Pour the mixture into a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk constantly for 3-5 minutes until the liquid begins to steam. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second bursts, whisking between intervals.
