Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Place the skillet over medium-low heat. Add the olive oil and butter, stirring until the butter is fully melted and begins to foam.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and translucent, ensuring the garlic does not brown.
  3. Increase the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir constantly and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Turn the heat down to low. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth and glossy.
  5. Remove from heat immediately and stir in the fresh parsley.
